4/30/04 Chris Moskal of Ellicott City caught this great rockfish of 45-1/2" while fishing aboard the Belinda Gail out of Happy Harbor. Chris's fish hit a hot JJ's Tackle custom made chartreuse parachute bait. Captain Jerry was trolling near Buoy 71.

Local anglers Phil and Alan caught these great fish trolling the western sector near the radar towers.

4/25/04 From left to right - Nick Tsimbidis (Lorton VA), Tom Phillips (Annandale, VA), Chuck Diamond (Fairfax, VA) and Captain Glenn Adams (Fairfax, VA) caught these huge rockfish while fishing aboard Glenn's boat the "RockHound".

4/25/04 Ronnie Meador and Sam Gotsis fishing aboard their boat "Katherine" caught these nice rockfish out of Rockhold Creek.

Here's a picture of angler Ed Tobin aboard "Shenanigans" reeling in what turned out to be a 44 1/2" striper on May 2 near the "Old Gas Buoy" ...

and a shot of the fish with skipper Roger Sims and mate Todd Peal with a 37" striper. This cow firmly locked onto the stinger hook on one of Marie's black/blue metal flake bullet head lures with a 9" white shad attached to a white 8" quad umbrella.

Keith Runner of Gambrills, Md. caught his fish of a lifetime on 4/24/04. Keith's fish weighed a whopping 50 pounds and was 50-1/4" long. His fish was caught North of Chesapeake Beach trolling a white lure bait. Eric Long caught a nice 42" rockfish trolling in the same area. Pictured with fishing friends.

4/24/04 Jose Rey of Annandale, Va. with his first fish a 34" rockfish with fishing friends left to right. John Ager from Silver Spring, Md with his 43", William Richardson with a nice 40" rockfish. They were fishing off the radar tower south of Chesapeake Beach.

April 18th Butch Dickerson of Springfield, Va. caught this nice fish while aboard the Maggie Mae. They were fishing out of Rockhold Creek.

April 18th. Captain Pat Riley aboard the Nauti Girl with his fishing friend Rick Farnch with their catches of 34" - 20 pounds and 36" - 19 pound rockfish.

On April 17th opening day angler Austin Ager caught his first rockfish. This huge 37" rockfish earned Austin a first fish citation. His fishing buddy is Dad - John Ager.

Daryl Myers of Manassas Virginia caught a nice 40" citation Rockfish. He was fishing aboard the Valerie Ann with Captain Ralph Barnes when this huge fish hit a JJ's Tackle White ruby lip bait.

April 17th opening day TJ, Clarence and Ronnie Huckleby with nice catches made off of Deale Beach.

Dear JJ's Tackle: Here are some pictures (left and below) of fish caught with your marble eye bullet head lures. The largest of these fish placed in the top 20 at the ASA Stars and Stripers Tournament for 2003. The fish measured 45 1/2 ".

Here is a photo of a nice rockfish taken with Rick's spreader bar. FishWish charters presented us with the great picture. The fish was caught and released on Saturday, April the 10th.

Captain Ralph Barnes was fishing pre-season aboard the valerie Ann on April 10 when this 40 pound monster rockfish this. The big fish couldn't resist one of Rick's (JJ's Tackle) spreader bars rigged with Dave Weaver's custom "east/west sonar" lures.
